Microchip Basics

Dog and cat microchipping is a simple procedure. Your veterinary staff simply inject a microchip for pets, about the size of a grain of rice (12mm), beneath the surface of your pets skin between the shoulder blades. The process is similar to a routine shot, takes only a few seconds, and your pet will not react any more than he would to a vaccination. No anesthetic is required.

We use Home Again microchips at Westside Veterinary Clinic. Home Again allows you to register your pet's microchip for free in their database regardless of what brand the chip is, allowing them to be reported and found more easily. In addition, you have the option of enrolling your pet in their membership program which comes with additional resources and benefits. For more information about Home Again and their services, Click Here to visit their site.

The Veterinarians at Westside would like to thank you for your continued support of the Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center of Northern Arizona, open week nights after 5:00 pm, weekends
