Are you planning on traveling or moving with your pet? Depending on your destination and your mode of travel there can be a number of factors to take into consideration. If you are flying with pets, many airlines require each pet have a health certificate from the patient's veterinarian listing their identification and vaccination information. Also, if traveling to certain states or other countries, they may also have specific requirements that need to be met before your pet is allowed to travel there. Check out the following USDA APHIS pages for more information on state travel requirements and international travel requirements.
Maybe you're just taking a road trip, or flying to a state without any special travel requirements. Some pets will experience travel anxiety, including symptoms like, barking/crying, panting, pacing, nausea, etc. Schedule an appointment with your veterinarian to discuss the options available to make the trip more comfortable for both you and your pet(s).
